What documents can I add?

Can every employee see every document?
No. Documents and employees can be assigned access levels so users only receive answers from information they are authorized to access.
What happens when the answer is not in our documents?
employeebaseIQ clearly says it cannot find an approved answer rather than creating a company policy that does not exist.
Does every answer include a source?
Source citation is a core part of the product experience, allowing employees to see which company document supports the answer.
Which employees count toward my bill?
Only active accounts with login access count as paid seats. Directory-only records, deactivated accounts, and pending invitations are free — so you can import your whole company from your HRIS and only pay for the people who actually use employeebaseIQ.
Can I cancel during the trial?
Yes. Cancel any time before the 3-day trial ends and your card is never charged. You can cancel from Billing Settings or by emailing us from the address on the account. Cancelling later stops the next renewal and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Which file formats can I upload?
PDF files, Google Doc links, and text pasted directly into the admin panel. Scanned documents need to contain selectable text — an image-only scan cannot be read.
Can I assign different administrator permissions?
There are two roles: administrators, who manage documents, employees, and company settings, and employees, who ask questions. Finer control comes from the five clearance levels — each document and each person carries one, so what someone can see is set per person rather than per admin role.
